Friends Can Give their Opinions on Google+ Regarding Search Engine Results

Google+ embraces crowdsourcing & social search by enabling users to ask friends about search-engine results on movies, restaurants, or other topics. The new Q&A feature pops up at the bottom of search results where Google+ users can then click on a link to consult with their friends. The feature is currently still in its developmental phase, and is only available to selected active Google+ participants.

Our goal for search is to help you find the best answers to your questions, and sometimes the best answers come from your friends. To help you find those answers, we’re experimenting with a new link at the bottom of the search results page that invites you to ‘Ask your friends’ for information about the topics you’re searching for.

Yahoo Answers and Facebook questions also offer a version of this feature but have not yet sparked as great a deal of interest. Google+ offers connecting on line more like interacting in the real world. It offers circles that can accommodate up to nine people, video hangouts for the face to face interactions, watching YouTube videos together and an instant mobile upload. Time will tell if Google+ will out-do other similar features offered by competitors.
