CrowdEngineering Announces Crowd4self Beta Release and Integration with Amazon Mechanical Turk.
On November 2nd, 2011, CrowdEngineering announced at CrowdConf in San Francisco that it will launch a self-service platform that will revolutionize the crowdsourcing industry. Crowd4Self is now integrated with Amazon Mechanical Turk which is Amazon’s crowdsourcing forum for HIT’s (Human Intelligence Tasks) and is available in a beta format. By using MTurk’s infrastructure CrowdEngineering hopes to make crowdsourcing an integral part of the business process.
The new platform allows users to crowdsource any business process. The first step is to choose a workflow, then select the most suitable workforce for that task. Finally the user can execute the process while still maintaining control. A simple interface guides the user through the process.
The Crowd4Self platform gives businesses another way to access Mechanical Turk and allows them to easily manage the Workers’ skill and level of expertise to ensure the highest quality results.
Sharon Chiarella, Vice President of Amazon Mechanical Turk
We decided to integrate immediately with Amazon Mechanical Turk to provide our customers and beta testers with the best and widest workforce available today for task crowdsourcing. With Crowd4self and Amazon Mechanical Turk today we really make crowsourcing available to everybody.
