$4 Million Series A Round Settled by CrowdEngineering
CrowdEngineering, a provider of crowdsourcing solutions announced that it has closed a $4 million Series A round. The funding round was secured with the help of Quantica SGR and Digital Investments SCA SICAR, which will allow CrowdEngineering to continue providing easy access to crowdsourcing services (especially to business whose main activity is gaining loyal customers), whilst increasing their business presence throughout the rest of Europe and other regions beyond their current US/Italian market.
Founded in 2009 CrowdEngineering was established in Catania, Italy operating in the Social CRM (Customer Relationship Management) arena of Europe and the U.S.A. It is the creative brain behind CrowdForce, which has already been acknowledged as one of the most complete and innovative platforms in the industry. CrowdForce enables a business’ customer base and its web community to collaborate in various aspects of business processes such as customer support, sales, and marketing. CrowdEngineering is helping an assortment of businesses in the fields of Telecommunications, Media, Finance and Public Administration to design and implement their Social CRM strategy.
In 2010, CrowdForce was successfully integrated with leading ERP and CRM applications systems. It has also been given recognition as an innovative platform by industry analysts including “Cool Vendor in Social Software and Collaboration” by Gartner and “Company to Watch in Social CRM” by Altimer.
Thanks to the determination of our team and the initial support of dPixel, in only two years we were able to create a solution that has immediately been appreciated and internationally acknowledged as one of the most advanced and comprehensive in the new emerging Social CRM market. With the funds raised recently, we aim to go even further: on the one hand, by increasing our market penetration in regions where we operate, like the Italian and U.S. markets; on the other, by expanding our presence in other European and American markets which are interesting for our business. Last but not least, we will continue to promote and accelerate product development to ensure we can meet the increasing needs of our present and future.
- Gioacchino La Vecchia, founder of CrowdEngineering

- Deputy President: Michele Costabile
