Calling All Digital Artists: The American Foundation for Children with AIDS Needs Your Expertise!

Written by Casey Armstrong.

This week on Microvolunteering Wednesdays, we have microvolunteering enthusiast Cecile Perez highlight a challenge on Sparked.com:

Take up the challenge and help the American Foundation for Children with AIDS: re-design their Digital Badge.  The AFCA is a non-profit organization assisting HIV-positive children, their guardians, and HIV-positive pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa who do not have access to any kind of aid.  They provide AIDS medication, medical equipment and supplies, dietary supplements, and emergency supplies. In the hopes that it will help further their efforts, they are re-designing their Digital Badge during the unveiling of a new fundraising campaign.  The new badge design is aimed at people interacting on social-media platforms who will be sharing the badge, showing support for the cause by posting it on their profiles.

The AFCA “welcomes any submissions that are dynamic and creative,” so venturing out of the expected will probably make your design a cut above the rest.   The more assistance they can get from designers like you, the bigger the promotion of this campaign!

If you would like to contribute to the non-profit venture detailed above, first you must register and input your interests into Sparked. Finally, select the task you would like to perform and correspond with the relevant non-profit organization on the site. You can also conveniently log in with Facebook.

Please discuss any microvolunteering opportunities that you may know of, or participate in, on the forums!
