Although we sometimes perceive governments as being slow to adopt new technologies on this "series of tubes" we call the Internet, the social-momentum behind crowdsourcing is forcing them to take notice and get proactive about embracing these new, open methods of communication, innovation and productivity.

Interesting point Shay! While the government certainly has the money & the resources to implement & grow crowdsourcing, I think that the entire bureaucratic process will eventually play a bigger role in stalling it's own crowdsourcing evolution. Perhaps I'm just being pessimistic ;)

I suppose I never thought about the government stalling their crowdsourcing plans. But if you take into consideration how the government does everything, it makes sense. I guess I've only been looking at it from a narrow focus (where they've shot light years ahead of every other single entity in quantity & quality of crowdsourcing).
